Mean Girls is an iconic movie with a cult-like following that never seems to wane. The high-school comedy is a classic full of funny and famous quotes (including the popular saying: "On Wednesdays we wear pink") and has a stereotypical yet semi-realistic viewpoint on what teenagers go through during their young adult life. Not to mention the characters have colorful outfits perfect for group outfits and couples Halloween costumes. And if you want to dress up as one of The Plastic squad members (or other characters from the movie) we're sharing DIY Mean Girls Halloween costumes, that are incredibly pink and "fetch."

The fun and convenient part about these costume ideas is that you can scramble to put them together last minute. Dress up as Regina George, Cady Heron, Grethen Weiners and even the heartthrob Aaron Samuels himself. You can sport the cutest pink attire worthy of their approval or recreate their Christmas-themed looks during the "Jingle Bell Rock" performance (cringe is an understatement). As leader of The Plastics, Regina can be considered one of the most villainous characters of the 2000's. She embodied almost every high schooler's nightmare: a stuck-up (although fashionable) bully. While she had many outfits you can choose to wear, a blonde wig, black sweater and pink-striped top can give you the desired preppy flair.

The main protagonist of the movie, Cady Heron, was an animal and nature lover who worked with Janis to end the reign of Regina and her fellow mean girls. After weaving her way into their friend group, her laidback style gets a posh upgrade.

You can't have an unstable friend group without someone gossiping all the time. And that was exactly Gretchen's character in the movie. She's also the inventor of the slang word "fetch." A pink sweater and eye-catching jewelry can evoke her style. Don't forget her brunette hair, which Damien described as being big and "full of secrets."
