Wedding cakes can easily cost you upwards of a thousand dollars, and that bill is basically cutting straight into your honeymoon budget. Annoying. But here's the thing, it's also unnecessary. DIY Instagrammer Jessica, aka @cottagefarmhouse, shared the ultimate hack. And nope, it won't compromise your wedding aesthetic.

Get this: This decadent four-tiered, flower-adorned culinary masterpiece...cost $50. Like, HOW? My brain cannot compute.

According to Jessica, her brother and his new wife decided to DIY their wedding cake in the name of frugality. "They bought two @costco cakes, cut them, stacked them, re-iced with buttercream icing, and covered with $10 @traderjoes flowers." They also built the display stand using Hobby Lobby materials. Talk about ballin' on a budget.

If you've ever had a Costco cake, you know it's really darn good. I love a good ol' grocery store sheet cake (I'm not alone in this, right? RIGHT?), but Costco's are next level. So you know this DIY take doesn't just look the part.

Naturally, @cottagefarmhouse fans freaked. Fifty bucks for a wedding cake-especially one that looks like this-is unheard of. "Wow this is insane!!!!!" one user wrote. "Holy cow this is beautiful!!" another added. The posted was flooded with similar "wow," "impressive," and "😍" comments.

Dying to create the magic, but need a little help? Your go-to design girl has got you. After getting several requests for step-by-step Pinterest instructions, Jessica promised they were coming. "Next birthday, I plan on recreating this cake!" she said.
