The long-awaited second season of Reacher, Amazon's adaptation of the hugely popular Lee Child novels, is now streaming on Prime Video. Fans of the show's first season might be irked that these new episodes take Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) away from the setting of Margrove, where he formed a connection with Roscoe (Willa Fitzgerald), and surround him with a new cast of supporting characters.

This time around, Reacher is reunited with his former unit, and it's through his interactions with these old and trusted allies that we begin to see more of our hero's vulnerable side. And that's never more clear than with Karla Dixon, a character with whom we learn Reacher shared an attraction in the past—but one that was never acted upon. Until now, that is.

Dixon is based on the character of the same name in Bad Luck and Trouble by Lee Child, the book which gives this season its main plot. Reacher and Dixon's evolving relationship is one of the major threads of Season 2, with Dixon demonstrating a closer, more intimate understanding of Reacher than he usually allows.

Karla Dixon is played by a former superhero actress.

Canadian actress Serinda Swan portrays Dixon in Season 2 of Reacher, and there is a good chance that you'll recognize her from at least one of her many television credits. She has appeared in the long-running fantasy drama Supernatural, comedy procedural Psych, and cop reboot Hawaii Five-O, as well as Chicago Fire, Jordan Peele's revival of The Twilight Zone, Ryan Murphy's Feud, Ballers, and crime drama Coroner.

Swan has also played two superhero characters on the small screen: DC's magician Zatanna Zatara on the Superman prequel series Smallville, and Medusa in Marvel's shortlived Inhumans series.
