  • Noah Beck starred as Dixie D'Amelio's love interest in her "Be Happy" music video.

  • Since then, the pair has revealed that they are dating.

  • Apparently, though, Noah wasn't even originally going to be cast in the video.

Imagine if Noah Beck and Dixie D'Amelio never kissed in the "Be Happy" music video? Where would we be now? Would the pair still be secretly dating?? Well, apparently Noah's cameo almost didn't happen. On Dixie and Charli D'Amelio's new podcast, Charli and Dixie: 2 Chix, they discussed the casting on Dixie's love interest.

Dixie revealed that she was given "a lot of options" when it came to picking the boy for the video. Charli then asked her sister is Noah was one of those original options.

"Yeah...no he was," Dixie said before Charli interrupted clarifing, "No, he wasn't on that list."

Dixie then explained. "I'm a very awkward person and I had to do the scene up close and personal to a boy and I picked him because I'm friends with him and I just thought it would be easier than some random boy because I would definitely not be able to do that."

Of course, the rest is history and the casting of Noah led to that steamy kiss, which is now Noah's phone background.

"I'm glad I did it with him," Dixie said. "I would be so awkward talking to someone random. I'm even awkward around my friends sometimes so it would be hard doing it with anyone else."

At the time they filmed this podcast, Dixie most likely didn't know she and Noah would be going public with their relationship. Because of this, Dixie repeatedly emphasizes that she's friends with Noah and their chemistry is fake. Noah tried to make the same excuses when he said the kiss was just for the video. We now know that's not true and their chemistry is very real.
