Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride raises $4k

FRUITA, Colo. (KREX) — Nearly 50 people signed up to ride their motorcycles this weekend and bring attention to men’s mental and physical health.

Sunday was the sixth annual Distinguished Gentleman’s Motorcycle ride on the Western Slope. In total 47 riders registered and $4,256 were raised — surpassing their $4,000 goal.

The whole premise is generally when you see guys on motorcycles, you’re thinking they’re big, tough guys and they’re not you know, they don’t have these kinds of problems. But we do. And this is you know, this is our way to show that we do care about things like that, you know, and make people aware that it does happen to them regardless of, you know, how tough they try to be.

In Colorado, there were seven Distinguished Gentlemen’s Rides. The seven rides raised $59,359.
