Disney Unveils Plans for a New 'Princess and the Frog' Restaurant—Get the Details
Finally, another place to get beignets.
On the heels of announcing a new attraction and welcoming 2023, Disneyland unveiled plans for a new restaurant at the beloved theme park.
In July 2023, the company revealed that Tiana's Bayou Adventure would replace Splash Mountain at both its East and West Coast parks. Shortly after, during the D23 Expo, attendees noticed signage on the attraction's blueprint that included Tiana’s Palace restaurant, but Disney remained tight-lipped to not spill any details.

But now, six months later, the kid-friendly amusement park in California has confirmed that a themed dining experience will also accompany the jazzy revamp.
The new restaurant will recreate Tiana's dreams–that, spoiler alert, come to life at the end of the Princess and the Frog–to open a restaurant featuring local New Orleans-style staples like gumbo and beignets on its menu.

Tiana's Palace will be designed in collaboration with both Disney Animation artists and Disney Imagineers, according to a statement shared with Elite Daily, and its menu will be inspired by Louisiana homestyle with nods to "Tiana’s friends and adventures."
Disneyland loyalists already know that its French Market Restaurant serves up some overlapping dishes (including the lauded Mickey Mouse-shaped beignets), and Disney said it "will expand on many of the current favorites served in the location.” However, the French Market Restaurant and Mint Julep Bar will be temporarily closing on Feb. 17 for construction, so the only place to get your fried dough fix will be Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen at Downtown Disney, per the outlet.

Although Disney hasn't announced an official start date for its new restaurant, the company did confirm it would be opening its doors before Tiana's Bayou Adventure–which is slated to unveil at Walt Disney World and Disneyland sometime in 2024.
