Tom Hanks is set to star in the live-action Pinocchio movie, and Disney+ has unveiled the first look!

The streamer released its first trailer for the remake of the 1940 animated film of the same name, and it's giving a more in-depth look at what fans can expect to see from the film.

Hanks can be seen in full costume, with curly gray hair and a gray mustache as he plays the part of Geppetto, building Pinocchio and wishing for him to become a real boy.

The trailer also shows a glimpse of the Blue Fairy—played by Cynthia Erivo—who grants Geppetto's wish, bringing the puppet to life, along with Pinocchio going on to live his life as a brave young boy.

The film also stars other talented actors and actresses, such as Benjamin Evan Ainsworth who voices the puppet, Joseph Gordon-Levitt who portrays Jiminy Cricket, and Keegan-Michael Kay who plays the part of Honest John.

Pinocchio is directed by Robert Zemeckis, who also directed 1988 film, Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Executive producers for the live-action film include Jeremy Johns, Jacqueline Levine, and Jack Rapke.

Alan Silvestri will join forces with Glen Ballard, who is known for his production of Alanis Morissette's album, Jagged Little Pill, to compose the score for the movie. In addition, the song everyone knows and loves, "When You Wish Upon A Star" from the original animated film, will be performed by Erivo.

So plan to grab your popcorn and kick back on the couch for the premiere, as Pinocchio is set to hit Disney+ on Sept. 8!
