If you haven't heard the good news, Disney+ will be releasing the original Broadway version of Hamilton on its platform on July 3, 2020. This version of the award-winning musical, dubbed #Hamilfilm on social media, was filmed in 2016 at the Richard Rogers Theatre by the original cast. It's the perfect front-row experience for those of us who were never able to get our hands on those highly-coveted tickets. Plus, the movie is premiering months before Lin-Manuel Miranda had originally shared it would. Everything is grand!

To get fans excited for the film's upcoming release, Disney+ dropped a trailer for the Hamilton film on Sunday. In the short clip, you'll see Lin-Manuel Miranda, as well as Daveed Diggs, Phillipa Soo, Jonathan Groff, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Christopher Jackson, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Anthony Ramos, and Okieriete Onaodowan. The trailer features a mash-up of the show's opening number "Alexander Hamilton" as well as "Satisfied." You can watch it below!

As a reminder, the film will only be available to stream for Disney+ members. Unfortunately, the platform ended its one-week free trial promotion earlier this month, which means the only way to watch is by signing up for the $6.99 monthly service. You can also have Hulu and ESPN+ included in your subscription for $12.99 a month, if you fancy.

While we count down the days until July 3, we'll just be listening to the Hamilton soundtrack over repeatedly. It’s safe to say that Fourth of July weekend is going to be, as the kids say, lit.
