Disney Released a Brand-New "Descendants 3" Teaser
We’re inching closer to the debut of the third and final Descendants movie, and the fine folks at Disney know how excited fans are for the continuation of Mal and friends’ story, which is why they’re releasing teaser after teaser to stoke the fire. If you’ve been anxiously awaiting new info since the last preview debuted in February, today’s your lucky day — Disney just released a new one, and it gives us more hints about what’s next for Mal, Evie, Carlos, and the rest of the gang.
The minute-long teaser makes it clear that something’s going on with Mal, and it could be something dark. While the teaser opens with Mal reigning over a devoted, cheering crowd, it quickly reveals that she’s just dreaming; she’s actually in the Isle of the Lost, grappling with what looks to be a very spooky and evil force all around her.
The trailer ends before any major information is revealed, but it’s definitely making us wonder what’s going to happen in the third movie. Descendants 3 also the last film in the series, so everyone’s storylines will be wrapped up, but it looks like it may be a bumpy ride for Mal. The first teaser hinted that we may learn more about Mal’s father, and we also know that Uma, Ursula’s daughter, returns for Descendants 3, so there’s bound to be an epic battle or two.
The movie’s director, Kenny Ortega, promised that Descendants 3 will be major. “Descendants 3 will be the biggest in scope of all the previous movies,” he told EW. “Everything has been scaled to deliver an epic story. The characters, the sets, the costumes, the dance numbers are all bigger, better and the baddest!”
