Disney Just Unveiled A New Limited-Edition Dole Whip

At Delish, it's our duty to inform you whenever a national food day is taking place so you can figure out how to celebrate and where to get the best deals. At Disney, every day is a special occasion to celebrate their incredible food options, but July 19 will henceforth be declared Dole Whip Day and we couldn't be more excited to share this news.

Anyone who has visited the Disney parks knows how iconic the Dole Whip treat is. It's available almost exclusively at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, on Disney Cruise Lines, and at Aulani Disney Resort and Spa. The original Dole Whip was first introduced to Walt Disney World in 1984 when it was sold at Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom.

Since its inception all those years ago (when it was only available in pineapple flavor, BTW!) tons of iterations of the fat-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free snack have become available across Disney's resorts. In honor of the all-new Dole Whip Day, a special Tamatoa-inspired treat will be available through July 21. Tamatoa is a character in the recent Disney film Moana, in case you didn't catch the reference!

This special Dole Whip will swirl together raspberry Dole Whip and orange Dole Whip in a white chocolate-dipped waffle coat that is then coated in a gorgeous gold sugar. Exclusively available at Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, the Tamatoa Dole Whip will only be around for a limited time. Of course, these offerings are subject to availability.

You can get other versions of the sweet—watermelon! Mango! Lime!—across Disney resorts at places like the Tropical Hideaway in Disneyland, Sunshine Tree Terrace in Magic Kingdom, and Marketplace Snacks in Disney Springs.
