For the first time in forever, Disney Parks is sharing all-new details on the World of Frozen, the land inspired by the fan-favorite film, expected to open this November at Hong Kong Disneyland.

“Guests will be invited to a Summer Snow Day celebration commemorating the day that Anna saved Elsa with an act of true love,” Disney shared with Travel + Leisure. The immersive themed land is a recreation of the kingdom of Arendelle and will feature beloved characters, stories, and landmarks from the movies. World of Frozen will draw upon the park’s natural landscape.

The land draws inspiration from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen and Frozen 2.

“Here in the Kingdom of Arendelle, Elsa has embraced her magical powers and ended the eternal winter,” Disney shared.

The all-new concept artwork shared additional details for the two themed attractions, dining and shopping experiences.

Guests will “embark on a journey to the North Mountain where Elsa’s Ice Palace awaits as part of the Summer Snow Day celebration” aboard Frozen Ever After, a boat attraction that will be similar to the existing EPCOT dark ride. Unlike the Walt Disney World version, Hong Kong’s will use upgraded technology that sees the replacement of its screen face based-animatronic character figures with physical faces, Disney explained in a previous announcement. Along the way, guests will encounter beloved characters from the films, like Olaf and Sven.

The land will also feature Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs, touted as “the first Frozen-themed coaster anywhere in the world.” Disney shared that “Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs was built by none other than Wandering Oaken himself. He’s enlisted the help of his buddies Olaf and Sven to power the attraction as they work together to pull the sleds to the top of the lift hill.”

The family-friendly attraction’s pre-ride queue will take guests inside Oaken’s sauna.

Disney also shared concept art for one of the land’s dining locations, Golden Crocus Inn, “named after the national symbol of Arendelle.” The quick-service restaurant, themed after a fictitious popular spot from the kingdom, will offer a menu of “diverse cuisines.”

Tick Tock Toys & Collectibles will be a “charming toy shop.” The merchandise and retail shop will be the “go-to place for toys, keepsakes, and collectibles that include playful carved depictions of favorite Frozen friends.”

When World of Frozen debuts at Hong Kong Disneyland later this year it will be the park’s largest expansion to date.
