Disney Employee Reportedly in Police Custody Over Aggressive Knife Incident

A Disney employee was reportedly taken into police custody after pulling out a knife during a heated situation with security at the Fox Century City lot in Los Angeles.
The woman, said to be in her 30s, was "acting aggressive towards security" on the morning of Wednesday, March 27, in an incident that involved her wielding a knife, law enforcement sources told Deadline.
The Los Angeles Police Department received the report at around 9:20 a.m. local time, and the woman was later taken into custody as a result of the escalating situation.
It all allegedly went down near the woman's office on the Fox lot, though she does not work for Fox directly.
Sources said the woman is a Disney employee, as the company acquired Fox's assets in a 2019 deal. It is likely that she will be removed from the Fox lot for the "foreseeable future," per Deadline.
The woman is now said to be undergoing a "psych evaluation," law enforcement sources told the publication. She is not under arrest and she has not been charged.
Neither representatives for Disney nor Fox responded to the outlet's request for comment on the matter.
The incident at the Disney-owned studio comes in the wake of recent allegations lodged against fellow kid-centric network Nickelodeon following the explosive docuseries Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, which premiered on Max last week.
The multi-part series digs into a number of sexual abuse claims on set of popular Nickelodeon shows, including All That and What I Like About You. The doc also shines a spotlight on Dan Schneider, the showrunner and creator of several hit Nickelodeon shows, who is accused of incorporating twisted and inappropriate jokes into the content he produced with and for kids.
All four episodes of Quiet on Set are now streaming on Max, with a fifth set to air on Sunday, April 7.
