Disney Channel Is Set To Premiere A Kid's Baking Competition Show

Disney Channel is stepping into the food space yet again with a brand-new cooking show aimed at kids. This time, it will show them working with the same things they love to eat—sweet treats! Titled Disney's Magic Bake-Off, the new show is said to be full of inspiration, fun times, and—of course—an array of magical creations.

Hosted by Disney Channel's Dara Reneé (you know her from High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) and Raven's Home star Isaac Ryan Brown, the new series—which has already began production—was created as a result of the Tastemade partnership that Disney announced back in 2018 and could potentially air has early as this summer. Featuring kids aged six-to-14, the show will see three teams of two race against the clock to try their hand at designing a Disney-inspired cake.

Don't think they'll be going in blind, though. Much like other competition shows, the contestants will have what Disney calls "an enchanted pantry" full of ingredients to fulfill their magical masterpiece. In addition to that, however, they'll also be able to use Tastemade's signature recipe videos to help them achieve their goal. Disneyland's resort pastry chef Graciela Gomez will also be there alongside the hosts to provide extra guidance through the challenges too.

So what are the kids looking to win besides some airtime with this competition? At the end of each of the 13 episodes, Dara and Isaac will announce the winning team as Disney Baking Champions and their recipe will become a featured Tastemade video.
