THE DISH: Discounted burgers, more deals on tap

Those enjoying a three-day weekend may want to leave the cooking to someone else.

Here are a few spots offering some discounts or deals, including those provided by savings and cashback destination RetailMeNot.

The chain also recently rolled out new menu items — including Dorito-crusted shishito pepper, pastrami quesadilla, roasted veggie tacos and smoky Campfire cocktail — that we will have more about in an upcoming column.

Burger time

Tuesday is International Burger Day, which may not seem of much importance — unless you're looking to save some dough on burgers.

The new Farmer Boys (35104 Merle Haggard Drive) opened recently and is already doing a bustling business (as Californian employees can view being conveniently located nearby).

Pricing, like that at many fast-food chains, can be a bit steep but that's where International Burger Day comes in.

On Tuesday, enjoy a $4 Big Cheese (limit two) from 2 p.m. until closing.

Carl's Jr. (numerous locations) is offering a buy one burger, get another for $1 via the chain's app.

The offer is good on favorites including the Double Famous Star, Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger, Double Guacamole Bacon Burger and Double El Diablo.

The offer is redeemable in the Carl’s Jr. app, order.carlsjr.com, or in restaurants by registered My Rewards users. There is a limit of one offer per registered user and it cannot be used in a combo or with any other offer or discount. This deal is also not available for redemption with third party vendors or delivery partners.
