Late-1960s Palm Beach fashion styles seen on the Apple TV+ comedy-drama series “Palm Royale” are the inspiration for a May 15 soirée at Café L’Europe.
Not only are guests who plan to attend the Palm Royale Vintage Palm Beach event at Café L’Europe encouraged to wear throwback garb, but a fashion show highlighting such looks also will take center stage.
Features of the dinner event, which begins at 6 p.m. at the restaurant, 331 S. County Road, also will include a special performance by opera singer James Valenti and music by the restaurant’s resident pianist, David Crohan.
A portion of the evening’s proceeds is set to benefit Dress for Success Palm Beaches, a nonprofit offering a support network, professional attire and development tools to help women thrive.
Advance reservations/tickets are required.
Along with the fashion show featuring vintage ensembles courtesy of area retailers, look for a “sip-and-shop” experience, a variety of 1960s-era cocktails (such as the crème de menthe-spiked Grasshopper), hors d’oeuvres and an 8 p.m. three-course dinner.
Café L’Europe plans to be decked out with 1960s-era décor accents, including mannequins dressed in 1960s attire, co-owner Emanuela Marcello told the Daily News.
The Palm Royale Vintage Palm Beach soirée at Café L’Europe is $275 a person.
