Diplo Says Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner Confiscated His Phone During Their Second Wedding
Diplo may have spilled the beans about Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s first wedding, but he wasn’t about to get away with it twice.
In an Instagram posted on Sunday, June 30, the DJ revealed that Joe and Sophie actually confiscated his phone ahead of their second wedding ceremony in France. “This is the only photo I got from Joe and Sophie Turner Jonas wedding because they took my phone from me and put in a holding cell during the ceremony,” Diplo wrote alongside a photo taken on a staircase. “Heard it was lovely tho.”
TBQH, we don’t blame Joe and Sophie for sending Diplo to “cell phone jail” during the ceremony. Last month, Joe revealed that the DJ livestreamed their Vegas wedding without their permission, thus spoiling their secret vows and leaking the info to the entire world. “Yeah, he ruined it,” Joe said while appearing on U.K. radio show Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp. “I love Diplo, but he loves his ‘gram more than a 13-year-old. He posts every five seconds.”
Sophie offered confirmation in another interview, telling Graham Norton: “We didn’t choose him to be our wedding photographer — he just decided to livestream it.”
But there was obviously no hard feelings between the trio of friends; as Joe put it last month, “We just laughed. We loved it. We thought it was ridiculous.” And given that Diplo received another invite to their second wedding, it seems as though all’s well that ends well.
