Dior Unveils New J’Adore Fragrance and Art Collab at Star-Studded Brooklyn Botanic Garden Party

Only Dior can get a crowd of Hollywood actors, international gallerists, renowned artists, and fashion insiders to brave the New York Fashion Week traffic for a cocktail hour in Prospect Park, Brooklyn.
On Thursday evening, the brand did just that, for the unveiling of their L'Or de J'Adore fragrance by Francis Kurkdjian, and the new J'Adore limited-edition piece, “Gold Rose,” created by artist Jean Michel Othoniel for the house.
The piece is part of Othoniel’s “The Flowers of Hypnosis” exhibition, which includes six works, sponsored by Dior's Cultural Gardens Initiative and currently on view at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, where the intimate dinner and fête took place.
“It’s a beautiful setting,” Charlize Theron told Bazaar.com at the party. “I feel like there's an urban connection here to something that's very romantic and I think that's kind of like the duality of how I think of the house of Dior. The collaboration between this art and this new idea of having the fragrance be more like a concentrated floral from the old classic J’Adore, I think all of it makes complete sense.”
Theron looked stunning for the evening in a navy knit collared sweater, crisp maxi skirt in the same shade, black sandals, diamond drop earrings, and layered white pearl necklaces.
She was joined by fellow industry names, including White Lotus' Meghann Fahy and Leo Woodall, The Marvelous Mrs Maisel's Rachel Brosnahan, and Don't Worry Darling's KiKi Layne. Actor Emma Watson also made a rare appearance at the bash, as did model Leni Klum and comedian Awkwafina.
