Christian Dior founded his revolutionary brand in 1946 in Paris. The luxury fashion house has since become a household name for its exquisite craftsmanship and elegant designs. Its infamous embroidery and monogram print has created feminine silhouettes that have been seen on several red carpets. Its influence in the fashion space has allowed the brand to gain an impressive list of global ambassadors like Natalie Portman, Jennifer Lawrence and Mila Kunis.

Along with its iconic collections, Dior has released many footwear silhouettes over the years.

Through the years, the brand has collaborated with figures from all sectors, including painter Peter Doig and rapper Travis Scott, to expand its shoe catalog. Its iconic B23 style is the most popular footwear silhouette from the brand to be reimagined. The French fashion house has also gone on to create brand-new silhouettes with top footwear brands like Birkenstock.

Here is a look at Dior’s footwear collaborations over the years.

Dior x Hajime Sorayama, 2019

Dior collaborated with Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama on its fall 2019 collection on an apparel and footwear line. The B23 sneaker was included in the lineup, dressed in a blue canvas upper with Dior’s monogram set behind pink cherry blossoms and a dinosaur robot graphic, like the structure of the brand’s pre-fall 2019 show. The set retailed for $1,050.

Dior x 1017 ALX 9SM, 2019

For its spring 2019 collection, the French fashion house worked with Matthew Williams’ 1017 ALX 9SM to reimagine the B23 style. The updated silhouette featured crinkled navy blue nylon uppers accompanied by white stitching and Williams’ utilitarian rollercoaster buckled straps that laid over the lace-up closure. The set was completed with a Dior-branded patch along the translucent sole.

Dior x Stüssy, 2020

Dior and Shawn Stüssy collaborated in 2020 on a collection that included a reimagined version of the B27 and B23. While the entire collection encompassed the free-spirited energy of Stüssy, part of the collection was dedicated to celebrating the Year of the Ox with coordinating patches against the monogram upper and Dior’s name in red graffiti-like colors on the white rubber sole.

Dior x Daniel Arsham, 2020

In 2020, Dior partnered with American artist Daniel Arsham on an apparel and footwear collection. The exclusive line included four sneaker styles, including the fashion house’s B23 sneakers in two colorways, one taking on an all-over light blue silhouette while the other was dressed in white accompanied by a newspaper print against the upper. The sneakers retailed for $990.

Dior x Nike, 2020

Unveiled at Dior’s men’s fall 2020 runway show in Miami, the French fashion house and Nike collaborated on a limited-edition Air Jordan 1 High sneaker. Colored in Dior gray and white, the pair featured the label’s signature monogram print along the tongue and Swoosh symbol. The iconic set hit the retail market that April with only 8,500 pairs for $2,000.

Dior x Peter Doig, 2021

Dior tapped Scottish painter Peter Doig to create a menswear collection for fall 2021. The apparel and footwear collection included a reiteration of the B23 style. Released in two colorways, the high-top sneaker featured a jacquard camouflage printed upper and a Dior-branded aluminum buckle that crossed over the lace-up closure. The limited-edition sets retailed for $1,650.

Dior x Kenny Scharf, 2021

Dior and Kenny Scharf joined forces in 2021 to create a collection that includes the painter’s recognizable splatter-like illustrations. The first footwear piece that was reinvented was the B27 Low. The all-white silhouette featured a Dior monogram on the middle panel of the upper, which was layered with colorful graphics that were seen throughout the shoe. The set retailed for $1400.

Dior worked with Parley of the Oceans on a beachwear collection in 2022. The eco-conscious capsule included a range of sustainable apparel and footwear like the B23 sneaker. The silhouette was crafted with blue waterproof upcycled Parley Ocean Plastic that featured Dior’s monogram print along the upper. The set was completed with a translucent sole and a white lace-up closure.

Dior x Travis Scott, 2022

Dior’s first collaboration with a musician was in 2022 when it worked with Travis Scott to release a range of apparel and footwear inspired by the rapper’s Texan roots. The Cactus Jack collection included the label’s B713 sneaker that was colored in several warm tones and textures including snakeskin and mesh panels. Each set retailed for $1,450.

Dior x Birkenstock, 2023

Dior and Birkenstock joined forces in 2023 on a limited-edition collection featuring vibrant colorways. The brand used two models from its previous collaboration. The first item of the collection was the Tokio mule, featuring a calfskin upper and a chrome Dior-branded buckle. The Milano sandal takes on the footwear brand’s Arizona style with two calfskin straps. Each piece retailed for $1,100.
