For its Fall 2023 Haute Couture showing, Dior presented a collection of Greek goddess-inspired looks rendered in a neutral tones, each accented with varying degrees of intricate design elements.

Maria Grazia Chiuri put forth a study in the duality of simplicity and ornateness: The collection opened with crisp silhouettes, seamlessly tailored capes and an ivory color palette. It then progressed toward darker hues like grey and black, eventually incorporating subtly shiny metallics, delicately embroidered gold skirts and stark black suiting. This focus on neutrals is a continuing theme for Dior's couture showings: The house's last collection, which was inspired by Josephine Baker, also leaned into a similar palette.

The collection is inspired by Greco-Roman goddesses, "the re-reading of myths [and] how the seemingly familiar can be viewed afresh through a contemporary prism," according to show notes. The backdrop of the runway featured art by Marta Roberti that was reimagined in large scale embroidery pieces, completed by artisans of the Chanakya ateliers and School of Craft in Mumbai.
