The Frameo Digital Photo Frame was a gift for my grandparents several months ago, and I didn't expect them to like it as much as they did. For starters, they're not exactly tech-savvy; plus, I couldn't imagine them downloading an app so that they could upload more photos on to the frame. But the Frameo makes it almost comically easy: Prior to gifting it to them, I set it up (it took less than five minutes) and uploaded a few photos myself so they had some in their rotation. Uploading is easy: You just download a free, easy-to-use app (compatible with both iOS and Android), and you can select as many photos as you would like to upload at a time. Best of all: No subscription charge or hidden fees.

The Frameo allows both photo and video uploads (up to 15 seconds), though we quickly learned that unless you want to hear the family singing "Happy Birthday" over and over again, the sound should be turned off. You can also connect multiple accounts to the same frame, so anyone can send the latest photo of the kids, a video of the pets, or a recent vacation snap. Want to remove a photo from the rotation? Just go to your history, select it and...done!
