Diddy Gifted a Luxe Golf Cart to DJ Khaled, Because Their Friendship Is Beautiful

DJ Khaled loves golf. Did you know that?

DJ Khaled is apparently all about golf now, because why not? The radio host-turned-Terror Squad DJ-turned-Grammy-winning producer-turned-New York Times bestselling author turned-voice actor in an animated pigeon movie has now turned into a golf fanatic. Classic career trajectory.

Apparently Khaled's commitment to the gentlemen's game has even inspired a new creative venture. HipHopDX recently reported that Khaled was developing a golf-related TV show with multi-media mogul Diddy, and also Mark Wahlberg, for some reason. Because that's a trio that just makes total sense, and none of us have any questions about any of that came together.

To celebrate Khaled's growing golf prowess, and likely to also commemorate their television venture, Diddy recently gifted the DJ a luxury vehicle that will have him cruising the green in style. Khaled turned to Instagram to showcase the stylish ride, a golf cart fit for a hip-hop hole-in-one hitter, and this video is ... honestly incredible. 10 out of 10, would recommend.

There's the beginning, which features Diddy sitting in the driver's seat of the cart while Jay-Z's "Public Service Announcement" blasts: "If you're gonna be the number one in golfing, I gotta make sure you're number one in the golfing, you know, the golf cart, baby, you know what I'm saying?" There's the salesperson who's there to explain the specs of the cart, whose entire vibe screams total unfamiliarity with DJ Khaled, Diddy, and any hip-hop that came out after Kurtis Blow's "The Breaks." There's the point where the salesperson is explaining just what makes the cart so special, but we the viewer can't hear any of that over the sound of wind gusts and Diddy yelling "Peanut Butter!" And of course, the capper, DJ Khaled trying to get his wife's attention, and his entire vibe shifting from "rap mogul" to "Ralph Kramden."

So, as gloriously confounding as all of this may read, we assure you that it's all true. This is the future we face. Rap legends trading in "Cuban Linx" for the golf links. Swapping out the night clubs for the golf clubs. The man once known as Puffy is now all about putting.

And you know what? It may not make total sense, but we're just gonna kick back and enjoy the ride. Especially if that ride is in a luxury golf cart.
