We love Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae Young's love. Ever since news broke in July that the couple was engaged, we've been looking forward to their big day—and keeping track of every step in their wedding planning journey here. However, after El Moussa and Young's recent weekend getaway, we're wondering if they nixed their lavish ceremony for an impromptu Vegas chapel wedding.

On Saturday night, El Moussa and Young both posted to Instagram teasing the idea of getting married in Vegas. "Date night in Vegas with my love @heatherraeyoung. Does anyone know of a chapel 🤷♂️💍….should we do it," El Moussa wrote. Young penned a similar caption: "Should we get married in Vegas?!? Yes or no?? "

Her Selling Sunset co-stars Maya Vander, Amanza Smith, and Davina Potratz all gave their approval in the comments. Although, Smith followed up with a second comment "But then have a reception here because I want to come duh."

While El Moussa and Young seem to have been joking, we're curious as to if they actually went through with it. In El Moussa's post, he shared a photo of Young at dinner where she was holding a champagne glass wrapped in what appeared to be a white tulle.

Besides that detail, El Moussa and Young have both told the press that they do not want a big wedding. "I want everything to be very intimate and personal," Young said during an exclusive interview with the Today Show in August. Unlike her Selling Sunset co-stars Mary Fitzgerald and Christine Quinn, who both had their weddings featured on the show, Young revealed she was leaning towards no when it came to having her big day filmed. "I feel like when the cameras [are] around, and you’re mic'd up, and they’re pulling people away to film this, and pulling people away to film that—I just don’t know if that’s what we wanna do for our wedding."

Not to mention, the couple has a wildly spontaneous and fast-paced history. El Moussa and Young said "I love you" to one another after five days of dating. They started living together within the first week of their relationship, splitting time between their two homes. In January, they officially moved into a Newport Beach rental together. Currently they are renovating their first house together, and they will move in upon completion.

Lastly, with COVID-19 cases spiking, there's a possibility that the couple decided to ditch the process of planning a socially-distanced wedding and instead exchange vows in Vegas. Or perhaps Young is taking a cue from Fitzgerald, who had both a courthouse wedding and an official ceremony to Romain Bonnet. Either way, we’re keeping our eyes on you two!
