It looks as though Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones, married her partner Joe Jonas in a surprise ceremony after the Billboard Music Awards.

The wedding reportedly took place in Las Vegas, and appears to have been conducted by an Elvis impersonator. According to the Daily Mail, the wedding took place in Chapel L'Amour, where a package deal costs around $600.

DJ and record producer Diplo captured the alleged nuptials on camera and posted a video on Instagram. The footage revealed Turner in a white dress, walking into a Vegas chapel, where Jonas waited with his brothers, wearing suits. Diplo’s caption read: “Gonna hit up this wedding real quick”.

Diplo himself appeared to have DJed the event, and Dan + Shay played Speechless as Turner walked down the aisle.

Pictures appeared on social media of the couple in a hot tub, captioned “Newlyweds”. Another picture of the couple posing on a pink cadillac, with Turner wearing white, also emerged online.

Rumours began circulating that the marriage was a spoof, but Entertainment Tonight claim to have seen “a copy of the couple's marriage license, which they obtained earlier in the day”.

Turner and Jonas have been engaged since October 2017. The couple started going out in November 2016.

At the Billboard awards, the Jonas brothers publicly performed their new single, Sucker, for the first time since reuniting as a band. It was their first award show performance in over a decade.

They were joined by their respective partners: Nick was with Priyanka Chopra, who he married in a lavish ceremony in December last year, and Kevin with Danielle Jonas, who he has been married to for almost ten years. Along with Turner, the three women have become known as the J-Sisters.

During their performance, the Jonas brothers went up to their partners in the audience, and Nick Jonas kissed Chopra in the middle of the set.

The brothers joined Taylor SwiftMadonna and Mariah Carey, all of whom performed at the Billboard ceremony.

Drake picked up 12 prizes at the event – including top male artist, top streaming songs artist, top rap artist – meaning that he now has a total of 27 Billboard Awards.

Cardi B also won 12 awards, and Ariana Grande picked up the prize for top female artist. British winners included Ed Sheeran and Ella Mai, who was named top R&B artist.
