When Teen Mom's Maci Bookout filed for an order of protection against her ex Ryan Edwards, she and her husband Taylor McKinney had to explain why they believed the order was necessary. In court documents obtained by Radar Online, McKinney wrote Edwards told him he'd "put a bullet in [his] head."

McKinney alleged Edwards called him on March 20 (shortly before he was arrested for a parole violation of his heroin case) and "threatened to show up at [his] house" and shoot him. “He has also said he would show up at our son’s baseball game and confront us, my wife and I,” he wrote.

According to Us Weekly, when McKinney called police after the alleged call, they told him to file for the orders of protection. The magazine is also reporting Edwards's pregnant wife Mackenzie Standifer is in "denial" about her husband's drug abuse issues, and "only wants to focus on having his baby and seems to be hoping that this will help him to be inspired to live a clean and sober life.”

Though the judge continued the case on April 2 until at least May 21, he ruled a “temporary protection order [for McKinney, Bookout, and their children] will stay in effect until their court hearing."
