Last week, the Prize Foundation announced the contestants in all five categories of competition and in case you missed any of the announcements next week, we've rounded them up for you.

The annual Prize Fest puts competitors head-to-head in various competitions in comedy, food, fashion, music and film. Each category will crown a winner who will walk away with bragging rights, a new network of industry professionals and of course, a cash prize.

Music Prize

This is more than just another music festival. Music Prize is a competition and discovery festival with a music conference that's geared towards elevating musicians so they can make their musical side hustle a full-time career.

Musicians submitted a video performance where online voters determined six bands and a selection committee of music industry professionals chose six bands to go on to compete at Music Prize.

The finalists will play live in Shreveport October 13 - 14 for the grand prize of $10,000 cash. All bands will also be paid for their performances at the finals.

Fashion Prize

Fashion Prize is a fashion design competition that encourages designers to create a unique collection for an independent selection committee to decide on the finalists.

The final five will go on to compete at Prize Fest October 15 for a chance to show their designs to a panel of nationally recognized judges and a live audience to win the $5,000 prize.

Food Prize

The Food Prize pits talented Shreveport and Bossier City chefs against each other in order to win the coveted Golden Fork award.

For months elaborate dinners have been hosted for the Golden Fork Society members for the chosen chefs to show off their culinary skills. Every week each chef presents a multi-course dinner and are judged and scored by the society members. Food Prize will take place Friday, October 20.

Each local chef will be paired with another local chef from the Golden Fork Society dinners and the two will collaborate on the dish created for Come and Get It. Attendees will be able to taste each dish and vote for their favorite while a panel of judges will determine the overall winner who will take home the $5,000 grand prize.

Comedy Prize

Making audiences laugh is not an easy task and the Comedy Prize pits seven stand-up comedians against each other for a chance to win a $2,500 cash prize. C

Comedians across the country were invited to send in a 2–3-minute clip of an original set in front of a live audience and a selection committee of entertainment industry professionals determined the finalists out of the entries.

The seven finalists will receive $500 each to perform a 7-10 minute set at the 2023 Comedy Prize on Saturday, October 21.

Film Prize

This is the Prize that started it all and now 20 films are headed to the big screen finals to battle it out for the trophy, bragging rights and the $50,000 grand prize.

Filmmakers across the world are invited to participate in Film Prize and a mentor judge panel and the Prize Fest audience will vote to choose the grand prize winner during the second weekend of the festival.

For its 12th year, filmmakers from across the state and country made the trip to Louisiana to shoot their films to qualify for the big prize. Over the years Film Prize has made an impact on both filmmaking in Northwest Louisiana and the local economy, generating over $30 million in economic activity for the region.

Each film is required to be between 5 and 15 minutes in length with the production taking place in Louisiana. The winning filmmaker will take home $25,000 if they shot in Louisiana and $50,000 if they shot in Caddo Parish. Additionally, the top five films will each receive a $1,000 cash prize and up to five films will be awarded a $3,000 reimbursable grant to support a film project for the 2024 Film Prize.
