Miley Cyrus started the new year off with a bang courtesy of her smash single, "Flowers." The self-love anthem topped the charts at No. 1 and proved to be a hit with her fans. Now that the highly-anticipated project is finally available for streaming, listeners are already staking claims on their fave tracks from the 13-song album. "Jaded," which is the second track, immediately resonated with listeners. Throughout the pop ballad, Miley sings about the regret and missed opportunities she feels because her partner was, you guessed it — jaded.

Obviously, the lyrics behind Miley's latest hit have fans wondering if "Jaded" is like "Flowers," which is believed to be about her former marriage to Liam Hemsworth and was "coincidentally" released on his birthday. If you're ready to find out more, read ahead for a lyric breakdown of Miley Cyrus' new single, "Jaded."

[Verse 1]
I don't wanna call and talk too long
I know it was wrong, but never said I was sorry
Now I've had time to think it over
We're much older and the bone's too big to bury

Miley opens the song by explaining why she doesn't want to speak to a former lover and owns up for never truly taking accountability for her role in the demise of their relationship. Now that she's removed from their relationship, she's looking back and noticing that no matter how hard she tried to move on, she hasn't truly buried the bones and honestly healed from their relationship.

[Pre-Chorus]
Oh, isn't it a shame that it ended like that?
Said goodbye forever, but you never unpacked
We went to Hell, but we never came back

Miley reflects on her past love with sadness and regret and opens up about how they did not manage to survive the hardships that they endured together.

[Chorus]
I'm sorry that you're jaded
I could've taken you places
You're lonely now and I hate it
I'm sorry that you're jaded

Miley uses the chorus to apologize to her ex for their newfound loneliness while taking accountability for not taking them to better places and giving them better experiences.

[Verse 2]
You're not even willin' to look at your part
You just jump in the car and head down to thе bar 'til you're blurry
Don't know when to stop, so you take it too far
I don't know whеre you are and I'm left in the dark 'til I'm worried
Ooh, and it hurts me

Miley uses the second verse to air out her grievances with her partner and call them out for their wrongdoings whenever they have a disagreement. She candidly lets them how their actions impact her and how much it hurts.

[Pre-Chorus]
And it's a f*****' shame that it ended like that
You broke your own arm, but you'd never say that
We went to Hell, but we never came back

Miley uses the second pre-chorus to express her disbelief at the end of their relationship. She calls out her ex's unwillingness to address the pain they experienced as an individual and revealed that as a couple, they never got passed the hardships they endured together.

[Chorus]
I'm sorry that you're jaded (Jaded)
I could've taken you places (Places)
You're lonely now and I hate it
I'm sorry that you're jaded

[Bridge]
I won't lie, it won't be easy
When somebody new is on your body
I'll change my number but keep your T-shirt
I don't mind it's torn up and fade

Things may have officially ended, but Miley knows that she'll still be in her feels whenever her ex moves on with someone new. She admits that while she'll be moving on herself, she'll still keep a piece of their love with her, no matter how old it may be.

[Chorus]
I'm sorry that you're jaded (Jaded)
I could've taken you places (Places)
You're lonely now and I hate it
I'm sorry that you're jaded

[Outro]
I'm sorry that you're jaded
