How Did This Massive Drop Not Get Dylan Stark Into Rampage?
One of the most talked about controversies around Rampage 2023 was why Dylan Stark was not extended a second invite after his 2022 showing.
He had all the elements lined up: One Rampage under his belt, a stunning submission video, and the people's overwhelming support.

The selection committee's explanation of why they didn't select Stark was essentially that they felt that in a very deep field of worthy submissions, it was fair for other riders to get a chance to try their hand at the event.
On one hand, their reasoning makes sense as Dylan scored a 56 last year and ended the day nearly in last place. On the other, many fans and fellow riders feel that he was not given a fair shake in the contest and that combined with his submission video should have earned him a rematch in the Utah desert.
It's hard to say who's right at the end of the day, but one thing is for sure: the storyline of Dylan getting back into Rampage and proving the doubters wrong would be about as compelling as it gets.
Hopefully we see him get a chance to see that out next season. In the meantime, here are some more thoughts on this year's event.
