All the Details on the New KKW x Kylie Cosmetics 2 Collaboration Launching Black Friday [Updated]
UPDATE (November 21, 2018) Folks, get excited because we finally have photos (including swatches) and shade names of the hotly-anticipated second KKW Beauty x Kylie Cosmetics collection, which is due to launch this Black Friday, November 23. They're better than we expected, too. Everyone's favorite beauty news account @Trendmood1 first leaked the images, which showcases the exterior packaging of the eye shadow palette, as well as four lip products. However, the Kylie Cosmetics Instagram account and Jenner's own personal page are now both littered with images of the collection, too.
From the photos, it appears fans can look forward to two Matte Liquid Lipsticks, one Velvet Liquid Lipstick, and one Topper Gloss, all of which are perfect moody hues for the winter season. Shades include Mainbae (a metallic chocolate gloss), Soul Sister (a deep mauve), Double Trouble (a burnt rose), and Twinning (a cool, medium-toned pink). Naturally, the colors all look stunning modeled on the youngest Jenner sister, which you can check out below.
Don't forget: the collection officially drops this Friday, November 23, on kyliecosmetics.com, so get those wallets ready.
UPDATE (November 16, 2018): It was less than two weeks ago when it was revealed that Kylie Jenner and fellow makeup mogul sister Kim Kardashian would be collaborating on a new collection — just in time for the holidays, no less. Also, let's not forget that Kylie has her own holiday makeup collection coming out this year and Kim also has a makeup vault launching for the holidays. Phew.
Now, thanks to another teaser released via @Trendmood1, (Don't worry, Kim and Kylie confirmed on their own Instagrams) we know the line will drop next week on November 23 — aka Black Friday. A coincidence? Probably not.
The beauty insider account also snagged a behind-the-scenes photo that shows the sisters on set for the collection's campaign. They pointed out that some of the pans look pretty large, suggesting they could potentially be face palettes. Regardless, we won't have to wait long to find out. Stay tuned for more updates, as something tells us Kylie and Kim will be giving us even more sneak peeks prior to the Black Friday launch.
UPDATE (October 30, 2018): Summer has come and gone in the time since Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian West first teased a new collaboration, and no, the products still aren't here. But what we do have is some more information, courtesy of the beauty watchers at Trendmood.
According to an Instagram post, a new-and-improved version of KKW Beauty x Kylie Cosmetics will be coming soon. "Here are the behind the scenes pictures of the campaign and is that a sneak peek to a new palette?!?! 👀👀💗(some of the pans look big, maybe a face palette?!)," trendmood says.
There's no word on exactly when the products will drop, but judging by behind-the-scenes photos, fans may be getting a face palette. In addition to bringing their beauty brain trusts together for a new collab, the sisters are also reportedly working together on a new KKW Fragrance. The "sister collab" is slated to launch sometime next year. We'll be watching and waiting for more details.

It's hard to believe it was only last April that Kylie Jenner collaborated with sister Kim Kardashian West for the small but mighty KKW x Kylie Cosmetics collection. Even harder to believe: KKW Beauty didn't even exist yet as its own brand, having celebrated its one-year anniversary a couple weeks ago with a pop-up shop in Los Angeles. But even though Jenner and Kardashian West are both doing their own things with their own brands, it seems they might miss working together on makeup, if Jenner's recent throwback post on Instagram is any indication.
On Monday, Jenner posted a behind-the-scenes photo from her KKW x Kylie Cosmetics shoot with Kardashian West — you know, the one where they looked nearly identical despite sharing only one parent and being 17 years apart in age — and captioned it with "who wants KKW X KYLIE round 2?" That arguably implies that the sisters are already considering a second collaboration, if not already working on one.
Although the vast majority of the comments on the post are "Lb" — apparently Instagram speak for "like back" — several of the few comments that aren't pleas for Jenner's attention are enthusiastic confirmations that, yes, the people want another round. "Me me me!!!! First round was so great and produced something amazing," one commenter wrote, "Kylie makes me so proud!" And no, that commenter was not her mom, Kris Jenner, though considering she was the most recent family member to do a Kylie Cosmetics collaboration, she would probably be very proud to see two of her most cosmetically successful daughters team up again.
It does beg a few questions, however: Now that KKW Beauty is its own brand, how would this collaboration work? Would it be just a Kylie Cosmetics collection? Would it be available under both labels? Would it be more than just four pale nude liquid lipsticks like last time? Only time will tell. But hopefully not too much time, because we're excited to see what they have up their sleeves — or rather, down their tube tops.
