Dahmer's short time in person was marked by conflict. He was kept in protective custody with limited interaction with other prisoners, although he was given permission to eat meals, take classes, and do work with other inmates after his first year. Prison pastor Roy Ratcliff remembered Dahmer having a Cannibals Anonymous Meeting poster on his wall.
