When Did Amelia Gray Become Fashion's New Favorite It-Girl?

Amelia Gray Hamlin is no stranger to the world of fashion. Having made her television debut via The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and having supermodel Lisa Rinna as her mom, she was surrounded by the glitz and glamor of the industry from a young age, but in recent years, her career has seen her soar to new levels of fashion fame.

The model started out creating style content on Instagram, garnering an impressive following from the get-go, which led her to make her runway debut in 2018 for New York-based brand, Dennis Basso. Fast forward a couple of years and Hamlin returned to the runway for Yuhan Wang in 2021. Over the next few years, the model began appearing in luxury brand campaigns, working with names like Vivienne Westwood, Versace and Givenchy, leading her to the runways of Paris Fashion Week and Haute Couture Week. In 2023, Hamlin walked a total of 23 fashion shows, with last season alone seeing her walk a total of 16 shows.

Yuhan Wang Show in 2021

Gray walked the runway for Chinese designer Yuhan Wang at his Spring/Summer 2022 London Fashion Week show back in 2021, cast by Madeleine Ostile from AAMO Casting. The model was dressed in a sheer look printed with a floral design. Off the back of her Wang runway, Gray walked for names like Dilara Findikoglu, Tommy Hilfiger, Diesel and Dsquared.

Paris Fashion Week Debut with Vivienne Westwood

In October 2022, Gray made her Paris Fashion Week debut walking for Vivienne Westwood. Appearing in two looks on the runway, the model shared an image of herself post-show with a caption that read, "My first show ever in Paris. Ever since I was a little girl, it has been a dream of mine to walk a show in Paris. To be welcomed onto the catwalk by the queen Vivienne Westwood, and the king Andreaskronthaler is such an honor."

Balenciaga's SS23 "Mud" Show

Arguably one of Balenciaga's most viral shows, the "mud" show took place during Paris Fashion Week in 2022 for Spring/Summer 2023 and saw Amelia Gray amidst the line-up of models.

First Couture Show at Jean Paul Gaultier

After a few runways under her belt, Gray made her couture week debut walking for Jean-Paul Gaultier, showcasing a collection designed by guest creative director Haider Ackermann.

Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2023 Show

Now a long-term member of the Miu Miu family, Gray walked in the brand's Fall/Winter 2023 show during Paris Fashion Week, wearing a black turtleneck and sequinned hotpants.

Versace x Dua Lipa "La Vacanza" Show

One of Gray's next biggest milestones was when she was chosen by Dua Lipa and Donatella Versace to walk in their "La Vacanza" show at Cannes Film Festival back in May 2023. Sharing the news on Instagram, Gray wrote, "My biggest most wildest dream come true… ever since I was a little girl I've dreamt of having the honor to walk in a Versace show… this means more to me than anyone could ever understand."

Miu Miu FW23 Campaign

Off the back of the FW23 runway, Gray returned to be a part of Miu Miu's FW23 campaign, once again pictured in her runway look.

Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2024 Runway Show

Last season at Paris Fashion Week, Gray continued her relationship with Miu Miu, walking in the brand's Spring/Summer 2024 runway show alongside Little Simz and Gigi Hadid.

Frankies Bikinis "In Your Dreams" Collection

One of Gray's most recent campaigns comes courtesy of cult-loved swimwear label, Frankies Bikinis. After a stellar fashion week season, Gray appeared in the brand's "In Your Dreams" collection campaign, spotlighting retro-inspired co-ords, underwear and swimwear sets.

FRAME Summer 2024 Campaign

Next up was denim brand FRAME, which tapped Gray as their newest ambassador, following in the footsteps of supermodel Gisele. Chosen for her "old-school work ethic and drive," the model continued her campaign streak with the brand, pictured in a range of classic denim silhouettes.

Jean Paul Gaultier "TRES GAULTIER" Campaign

Finally, Gray's appeared in the newest campaign from Jean-Paul Gaultier, "TRES GAULTIER," which aims to celebrate outrageous characters and rebellious models.
