Dick Wolf's New True-Crime Series Investigates One of N.Y.P.D.'s Most Heinous Crimes

When Irene Silverman mysteriously disappears, the N.Y.P.D. and FBI track down the mother-son killing team on this week's 'Blood & Money'.

Dick Wolf’s Law & Order series have always done stories that were ripped from the headlines, but now the master of crime drama is turning to true crime with Oxygen’s Blood & Money.

The 10-episode series goes in depth into crimes motivated by money and greed, and this week, Parade has an exclusive first look at the “High Society Schemers” episode in which wealthy senior citizen Irene Silverman disappears from her Manhattan residence and law enforcement finds out that she had been suspicious of the new tenant in 1B, Manny Guerrin.

The NYPD searched Silverman’s home high and low, as well as neighboring buildings, trying to find video from the block because they needed to figure out what went on over at 20 East 56th Street. Silverman disappeared under suspicious circumstances and her body was never found.

The case leads the N.Y.P.D. and FBI team to a mother-son duo with a cross-country criminal history and financial victims in their wake.

Blood & Money airs Saturday, April 8 at 9 p.m. ET on Oxygen True Crime.
