Diane Kruger Shared a Rare Video of Her Daughter Nova

They had some quality time with the New York City Fire Department.

Diane Kruger and her partner Norman Reedus shared the sweetest evening stroll last night and, thankfully, the actress managed to share a clip of the after-dark activities on Instagram. Even though the couple had their daughter Nova four years ago, they've still managed to keep her out of the spotlight and Kruger's latest post is no different and stays in line with her M.O. of keeping her daughter's face obscured.

The clip showed Reedus and Nova walking hand-in-hand, with the little one wearing a toy firefighter's helmet. During the quick clip, Reedus turns around and says, "Best job ever," referencing being a dad, presumably, though he may have been giving a nod to the New Your City Fire Department, which also got a shoutout in Kruger's caption.

"NYC Strong @fdny ❤️🌈🙏 Thank you for all you do and especially for making Nova’s night ❤️," she wrote alongside the clip.

Kruger has been open about why she's keeping Nova off the internet and away from the paparazzi.

"First and above all, it's safety," she told People back in 2019. "We have The Walking Dead empire which has a lot of very intense fandomship that comes with it." She mentioned that she's gone through several bad experiences with photographers alongside her fiancé (the two got engaged in 2021) "before [Nova's] arrival that [was] not so fun to deal with."

Reedus is also father to a 23-year-old son, Mingus, whom he shares with his ex, model Helena Christensen. Having lived so much of his life in the spotlight, the Walking Dead actor and Kruger know that fame can come with some undesirable consequences.

"She is an innocent, young, vulnerable baby," Kruger finished, reiterating why the couple chooses to keep their daughter's life private.
