Diane Kruger Has a City Take on the Cowboy Boot

Cowboy style has been all the rage this summer (thank Lil Nas X). And while recent interpretations have been decidedly extra—think more rhinestone rodeo than actual rodeo—leave it to the stylish actress Diane Kruger to put a more understated spin on the trend.

Slipping on a pair of brown leather cowboy boots, Kruger’s choice of footwear said “giddy up” in a discreet way. She made sure to pair them with more tailored pieces: a two-piece checked suit, with a vest instead of a blazer, instantly dressed the shoes up. Underneath, she also kept the prairie vibe going with a chic floral shirt, complete with a large collar and ruffled hem. Kruger also chose a vintage-style bag with silver studs, as well as large sunglasses.

The takeaway of Kruger’s put-together look? Even the most outrageous of trends can be toned down and incorporated into one’s wardrobe with the right approach.
