'Devotion' Trailer Previews Aerial Action in America's Forgotten War

Following the release of Top Gun: Maverick, Sony Pictures now readies a film titled Devotion, offering more action in the skies. Based on a novel written by Adam Markos, the movie is based on the Battle of Chosin Reservoir, one of the fiercest battles of the Korean War.

The film highlights the relationship between the main character of the film, Jesse L. Brown (Jonathan Majors), who's the first black pilot in the U.S. Navy, and fellow pilot Glen Powell (Tom Hudner). J.D. Dillard (Stray) will direct the film and the screenplay is written by Jake Crane and Jonathan A.H. Stewart with Dillard and Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick) serving as producers.

"The film tells the harrowing true story of two elite US Navy fighter pilots during the Korean War. Their heroic sacrifices would ultimately make them the Navy’s most celebrated wingmen," reads the movie's official synopsis.

Devotion is set to premiere this September at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival followed by a theater release on November 23. Watch the trailer above.

Elsewhere in entertainment, Warner Bros. will not be releasing Batgirl.
