I might not be professional Hall of Fame tennis player John McEnroe, but I am here to report on everything new that's going down in Devi Vishwakumar's life this summer. The newest season of Netflix's Never Have I Ever premieres on June 8, 2023. Next week, Devi might just get her life together (but probably not) as she embarks on the most wonderful (and wonderfully chaotic) high school senior year of all time.

In case you are new here, Never Have I Ever is the brainchild of the comedy queen herself, Mindy Kaling. The series follows California high schooler, Devi, as she copes with the death of her father, grapples with her cultural identity, and gets herself into a very messy (and completely avoidable) love triangle. She is television's most lovable, and at times problematic, queen.

The upcoming season 4 is tragically Never Have I Ever's final send off. And, unsurprisingly, it doesn't look like Devi's storyline will be wrapped up in a perfect little bow. That's not really her style, anyway. Here's everything to know about Devi's senior year (so far):

Warning: Never Have I Ever spoilers ahead.

There are a few new cast members.

Just because its the final season, doesn't mean there isn't room for new characters! It looks like season 4 will add a key new face to the show, and a few others, too. Love Victor's Michael Cimino will join the cast, playing Ethan, a skater boy who catches Devi's eye after he hits a growth spurt over the summer.

Genneya Walton will also join the cast as the "cool part-time substitute teacher," per Netflix. It looks like Devi's mom, played by Poorna Jagannathan, may get her own love interest, too—a contractor, Andres, who will be played by Ivan Hernandez.

Luckily, none of the fan faves are leaving the show for its finale. Maitreyi Ramakrishnan (Devi), Jaren Lewison (Ben), Darren Barnet (Paxton), Lee Rodriguez (Fabiola), Ramona Young (Eleanor), and the rest of the lovable cast from earlier seasons will all still be there, per Netflix.

When does the new season come out?

The show airs on June 8, 2023. Get your popcorn popped, and prep yourself for some major high school nostalgia and teen angst.

Is there a trailer?

Yup, behold, the first few peeks at Never Have I Ever season 4 are here:

What happens during season 4?

Never Have I Ever season 3 left off on a high note for Team Ben. Devi shows up at Ben's house and, based on the Season 4 trailer, the two end up having sex. However, as high school romance would have it, they aren't exactly on the same page about what that moment ~meant~ for their relationship.

In the trailer, it looks like Ben is still hitting it off with art student Margot (Victoria Moroles) and Devi pursues something with new guy, Ethan. Oh, and of course, Paxton Hall-Yoshida comes back to complicate everything.

Will there be a season 5?

The trailer definitely gives some insight into what you can expect, but Maitreyi Ramakrishnan's social media is where you really want to go for all the Never Have I Ever deets. The actress recently tweeted a single photo of her character with the caption "pain? pain."

As far as the love triangle goes, the Never Have I Ever star also shared a snap of herself with co-star Darren Barnett on her Instagram, so things are looking good for Team Paxton ATM. However, actor Jaren Lewinson, who plays Ben, said he's "proud" of his character and his journey in Season 4, per WWD, so it really could go either way. One thing is for sure: when the final season drops, Maitreyi will reveal whether she's team Paxton or Team Ben once and for all.

But, forget the boys! Will Devi get into Princeton? I'm hoping that big red suitcase means yes. Maitreyi said in a later tweet that this season will have lots of joy, chaos and drama (although I'd hardly say that's a spoiler!)

Never Have I Ever Season 4 drops on June 8, 2023. I can't wait. In the meantime you can stream the first three seasons on Netflix. I know I will!
