One day after King Charles III and Queen Camilla are crowned at Westminster Abbey, the royals will be treated to a special musical event dubbed the Coronation Concert.

The blowout event is one of several festivities that will celebrate the king's historic ascension to the throne over the weekend of the coronation.

BBC and BBC Studios will produce and broadcast the show, which will feature performances from the likes of Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli, and more.

Ahead, everything you need to know about the Coronation Concert.

When is it?

The Coronation Concert will take place on Sunday, May 7.

Where is it?

The event will take place on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

The concert will also include a segment called "Lighting Up the Nation," in which different iconic locations across the U.K. will be lit up via projections, lasers, drone displays, and illuminations.

Who is performing?

Katy Perry and Lionel Richie are among the A-list names who will be performing for the newly-crowned king and queen at the Coronation Concert. The show will also feature performances by Andrea Bocelli, Sir Bryn Terfel, Take That, Freya Ridings, and Alexis Ffrench.

Perry and Richie, who both serve as judges on American Idol, have prior relationships with the monarch. In 2020, Perry was appointed as an ambassador of The British Asian Trust, a charity co-founded by the then-Prince Charles. Meanwhile, Richie became the first global ambassador for The Prince's Trust in 2019.

Joining the roster of performers is The Coronation Choir, a group that will recruit members from different choirs across the U.K., including refugee choirs, NHS choirs, LGBTQ+ choirs, and deaf signing choirs. This group will appear alongside the Virtual Choir, which will further include other singers from across the Commonwealth.

Who will be attending?

Besides the king and queen, other senior members of the royal family are expected to attend, including Prince William, Catherine, Princess of Wales, and their children.

Prince Harry, who will be attending the May 6 coronation service without Duchess Meghan, will likely not be present at the event. BAZAAR.com previously reported that Harry will not attend other related engagements over the coronation weekend.

How can I buy tickets?

Unfortunately, the BBC's national public ballot to obtain free tickets is now closed. About 10,000 members of the public who received tickets will be amongst the concert's audience, which will also include volunteers from the king and queen's various charities. Any remaining tickets will go towards charitable organizations.

How can I watch?

The event will be broadcast live through BBC One, BBC iPlayer, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds. Other news outlets are also expected to broadcast the show.
