All the Details From Kim Kardashian West’s CBD-Themed Baby Shower
This weekend, Kim Kardashian West hosted a baby shower for her and husband Kanye West’s fourth child, a baby boy, which they will soon welcome to the family via surrogate. Kardashian West shared scenes from the festivities on her Instagram Stories today, revealing it to be a very chill affair, as the whole shower had a CBD-inspired theme.
CBD, the plant-based cannabidiol, is all the rage at the moment, thanks to its calming, anxiety-ridding effect. (It’s been incorporated into a range of products, from bath bombs to chocolate.) Kardashian West’s baby shower ran with the trend: she offered guests a “make your own CBD” station, where they could create their own products, including bath salts and body oils infused with CBD. Snacks included donuts—and even a CBD chocolate fountain!
Kim’s sisters Khloe and Kourtney were in attendance, as well as celebrities such as Chrissy Teigen and hair stylist Jen Atkin, a family friend. The affair appeared to be organized by Mindy Weiss, who has organized many parties for the Kardashian-Jenner clan before, including Kylie Jenner’s daughter Stormi’s fabulous first birthday.
After creating their own CBD goodies, guests of Kardashian West's were then invited to a 30-minute sound bath, where they lounged on yoga mats in the sun as soothing music played. When it was time to depart the shower, they were given gift bags with even more CBD goodies, including Mr. Moxeys CBD mints. And a very special non-cannabis treat? Some Yeezy slides designed by Kanye himself, the perfect follow-up gift for those who “enjoyed a day at the Yeezy spa,” as Kardashian West referred to the relaxing gathering.
