All the Details on Katie Holmes’s New Movie ‘The Secret: Dare to Dream’

If you’ve been avidly following Katie Holmes on Instagram in hopes of catching more black-and-white selfies and throwback photographs, you’ve probably noticed a few of her latest shares have been promoting her upcoming film titled The Secret: Dare to Dream.

Naturally, the social media posts piqued our interest so we did a deep dive to find out all we could about the upcoming romantic drama. Read on for everything we know about The Secret: Dare to Dream.

1. What is ‘The Secret: Dare to Dream’ About?

Based on the best-selling book The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, the film follows Miranda Wells (Katie Holmes) as she tries to navigate life with her kids after the loss of her husband.

The film’s official synopsis reads, “The Secret: Dare to Dream follows Miranda Wells, a young widow trying to make ends meet while raising her three children and dating her boyfriend. A devastating storm brings an enormous challenge and a mysterious man, Bray, into Miranda’s life. Bray reignites the family’s spirit but, unbeknownst to Miranda, also holds an important secret—one that will change everything. With its timeless messages of hope, compassion, and gratitude, The Secret: Dare to Dream is an inspiring and heartwarming film that shows how positive thoughts can transform our lives.”

2. Who’s in it?

Aside from Holmes, the star-studded cast also includes Jerry O’Connell (Billions), Josh Lucas (Ford v Ferrari), Celia Weston (Modern Family) and Sarah Hoffmeister (2 Broke Girls).

3. When does it premiere?

According to a press release, The Secret: Dare to Dream will be available to rent ($20) through on demand platforms such as Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, VUDU and other cable providers beginning Friday, July 31. Yup, that’s in two days.

4. Is there a trailer?

There sure is.
