Britney Spears is basking in the news of her engagement.
According to People, the "Lucky" singer is "ecstatic" about becoming engaged to her longtime boyfriend, fitness trainer and actor Sam Asghari. Per the outlet, Asghari proposed to Spears at home, taking her by surprise.
"I can't fucking believe it 💍💍💍💍💍💍❣️!!!!!!" Spears wrote on Instagram, breaking the news.
Sharing a quick clip of herself and Asghari beaming at each other, Spears also showed off her new sparkler. The pop star's engagement ring is a custom design courtesy of Forever Diamonds NY. The four-carat, round-cut diamond is set in a platinum cathedral setting and embellished with pavé detailing on the ring's bridge, plus flush-set diamonds adorning the prongs and basket. The word lioness—Ashgari's nickname for Britney—is engraved on the inside of the band.
"We are thrilled to congratulate Britney and Sam on their recent engagement. We couldn't feel more honored to create this ring for such a special couple. Their journey together has touched people around the world and we're so excited to be a part of their forever," Roman Malayev, Forever Diamonds NY's founder and master jeweler, said in a statement congratulating the couple. The ring design is newly named The Britney on the jeweler's official website.
Asghari recently opened up about his long-term relationship with Spears in an interview with Men's Health and hinted at his plans to marry the pop star. "I just want her to be happy. If something makes her happy, I'll do it. I'm not going to argue," he told the outlet. "What's that saying? 'Happy wife, happy life.'"
