If ‘Zoolander 2′ Had a Fragrance, It Would Have Some Super Chic Ads
When Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson surprised fashion show attendees at the Valentino Fall 2015 runway March by strutting out as their iconic characters from Zoolander, the actors announced the film’s sequel with just a look. But those poses didn’t really reveal much and details surrounding the hotly anticipated film have been slim. It’s obvious that Zoolander 2, which is scheduled to be released on February 12th, will be as fashion and celebrity-filled as the original, having been written by Justin Theroux and cameos from Justin Bieber and Karlie Kloss already promised from behind-the-scenes Instagrams. Now, it looks like Ben Stiller and the folks at Paramount are ready to kick promotion for the film into high gear with the release of a new movie poster teaser, spotted on Fashionista.com.
Two images have come out so far, both plays on fragrance ads. One features a portrait of Derek Zoolander flexing his best Blue Steel (or is this Magnum? We think it’s time for Zoolander to bless us with a new look), shot in black-and-white. It’s glorious, and it’s getting us increasingly excited for the movie to drop… and kinda wishing Zoolander No. 2 was an actual fragrance. The tagline? Long Time No Z. Get it?!
Don’t worry, Hansel fans, because your boy makes an appearance on another promo poster for the film. In this one, Hansel and Zoolander share the spotlight, both taking selfies because that’s what really, really, ridiculously good looking male models do in 2015.
On Monday, the Zoolander Instagram account shared an image of the ‘Lander himself and Justin Bieber, totally twinning and serving some serious face. According to IMDB, Kanye West, Billy Zane, Olivia Munn, Kristen Wiig (though sadly, not Karl Lagerfeld) and more will join Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson for the much-anticipated sequel, which really cannot come soon enough.
