The royals take Manhattan! Earlier today, Kensington Palace announced that Prince William will be making a trip to NYC this September, and now news has surfaced that Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik and his wife, Crown Princess Mary, will also be heading to the Big Apple during that same time.

While William's trip across the pond will be focused on The Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit, a climate-solutions innovation summit he'll be co-hosting with philanthropist and former NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg in September 21, the Danish royals will be in town the following day for a different big event—the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly. The Crown Prince and Princess will reportedly attend the assembly to launch Denmark's candidacy for a seat on the UN Security Council. While there, they are also expected to participate in a number of other events related to the UN's 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development—the body's plan to tackle issues like poverty, climate change, gender inequality, and how to foster global peace.

In July, William's younger brother, Prince Harry, gave a keynote speech at the UN in honor of Nelson Mandela International Day, in which he spoke of Africa as "where I’ve felt closest to my mother and sought solace after she died, and where I knew I had found a soulmate in my wife." As yet, no announcements have been made as to whether William will also be making an appearance at the general assembly, or whether he'll meet up with the Danish royals during this trip.
