  • Demi Moore shared the shampoo-conditioner combo that she swears by for maintaining her long hair.

  • “I’m a die-hard Kevin Murphy Hydrate-Me Wash and Hydrate-Me Rinse person,” she said.

  • The antioxidant- and moisture-rich formula is ideal for fine, dry hair types.

Demi Moore’s dark, shiny, waist-length hair is iconic in its own right, which is why the actress can’t use just any products to maintain it. In a recent interview with InStyle, she shared the shampoo-conditioner duo she never strays from. “I’m a die-hard Kevin Murphy Hydrate-Me Wash and Hydrate-Me Rinse person,” she said. And it just so happens that both formulas are on sale.

The smoothing shampoo and conditioner are made especially for those with dry hair, or for those who live in dry climates. Both bottles are packed with antioxidant-rich Kakadu plum, vitamin A, and shea butter to defend the hair against environmental stress and lock in moisture. The formula also works to seal heat-damaged strands, making them appear shiny and new. Though it can be used on all hair types, Murphy says it works especially well on fine and medium-thick hair types.

“This is for hair that is naturally dry,” the stylist says in a Hydrate-Me informational video. “It’s for hair that doesn’t really hold on to the moisture. So don’t be afraid to use it on a daily basis. It will not weigh the hair down.”

This isn’t the first time Moore has sung the formula’s praises. She raved about the Hydrate-Me line to People last year. “When you have long hair, you need a [conditioning product] that’s not too heavy,” she said. “I love Kevin Murphy.”

Reviewers love the nourishing, stylist-made products, too. “A little goes a long way and it does wonders for my fine color-treated hair,” one Amazon shopper wrote. “It gives me softness, shine, and doesn’t build up like other creme rinses,” another raved. “Wonderful aroma, rich lather, and leaves hair soft and shiny,” someone else wrote.

At 60, Moore has no intentions of cutting her trademark locks anytime soon, not even for a role in Hollywood. “I think now that I’m older, I also know, I don’t have anything to prove. So if they really need my hair different, they can give me a wig,” she told People.

She added that she likes defying the notion that older women can’t lean into their Rapunzel dreams. “I remember hearing someone say that when women get older, they shouldn’t have long hair. And something about that stuck with me,” she said. “Like who says? It made me feel like, well, if it can grow and it’s not unhealthy, then why shouldn’t we? I’m not comfortable with rules that don’t seem to have any real meaning or justification.”
