It has been four years since Demi Lovato's pup Buddy was tragically killed after being attacked by coyotes, but he's still on her mind. Now, she's decided to honor his memory in a more permanent way.

The singer got her second tattoo in the span of a week, and this time, she dedicated it to Buddy. On Instagram Stories, she showed fans the new ankle tat, which features her late dog's face and the words "Buddy was here."

Demi shared Buddy with her ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama, and when the dog died in 2015, she was left "absolutely heartbroken."

"He was taken from us way too soon in a tragic accident," she wrote on Instagram at the time, "And though I will never know why this had to happen, I do know that God only puts us through situations that we can handle so with that, together we our [sic] staying strong."

Demi's new tribute to Buddy marks her second visit to the tattoo parlor just this week. On Saturday, she got a small rose tattooed on her pointer finger.
