Demi Lovato Reveals New Bob Haircut on Instagram
Demi Lovato is ringing in spring in the best possible way: by debuting a brand-new look. The singer casually debuted her chin-length bob on Thursday night on her Instagram Story, revealing her new look in several short clips. In the first video, she plays with her shorter ends, as if to be trying to find her new selfie angle. (Spoiler: every angle is a good angle.) In another, she subtly nods to the camera, appearing to be in the back seat of a car.
While her dramatic new cut totally steals our attention, we couldn't help but notice her gorgeous glowy skin, complemented by her dark brows and smokey eyes. (Maybe it's attributed to diligently removing her makeup at night?)
The new look (which according to Refinery29, is actually a wig) came courtesy of her longtime hairstylist, César DeLeön Ramirêz, who posted the same videos in Demi's Story on his feed, along with the caption, "New Cut New D..." He told Refinery29, "We'd been toying with the idea of cutting her hair into a short bob, but since we've been in the process of growing her hair out, we were a bit hesitant. Since Demi has been on tour, it was the perfect opportunity to give her hair a rest from extensions and the everyday stresses of hot tools."
Demi's no stranger to experimenting with her hair and has been known to wear anything between a sleek bob and super long extensions. A dramatic hair change is welcome 365 days a year, but it's smart to try it out with a wig before making the big chop.
Everyone from Bella Thorne to Kylie Jenner have tried out the chin-length style, both curling the hairdo throughout as well as keeping it pin-straight. Demi is in good hands if she decides to make the look permanent, and we can’t wait to see how she styles it next.
