Demi Lovato Is Reportedly in a “Happy and Healthy” Relationship with a Musician

A new album isn't the only thing in the works for "Sorry Not Sorry" singer Demi Lovato. There's a new love connection brewing, too. On Monday, August 8, a source close to the singer confirmed to People that they are officially dating a fellow musician.
The source didn't disclose the identity of Demi's new rumored boyfriend, but they confirmed that the singer-songwriter is in a "really happy and healthy relationship." As for Demi's new bae, the source said, "he's a super great guy."
Demi's rumored romance marks the first time they have been romantically linked to anyone since she ended her engagement with her ex-fiancé, Max Ehrich, in September 2020. The former couple began dating in March 2020 and announced their engagement five months later, on July 22, 2020.
Demi dished on the cause of her split in her Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil docuseries. Entertainment Tonight reported on Demi's real-time reaction to their breakup after watching the series premiere at the SXSW festival in March 2021. "I'm really sad that things ended the way that they did," she said. Demi revealed that they think they "rushed into" the relationship because they thought it was what they should do. "I realized as time went on that I didn't actually know the person that I was engaged to."
Before dating Max, Demi briefly dated model Austin Wilson from November to December 2019. Prior to that, she was in a six-year relationship with actor Wilmer Valderrama, who she began dating at age 18.
