Demi Lovato Just Hinted That She and Max Ehrich Might Elope

Demi Lovato is already in wedding planning mode after announcing her engagement to actor Max Ehrich back in July. But that obviously looks a little different in 2020 as the coronavirus pandemic continues in the United States.

She's also considering eloping.

“I have started looking at dresses,” she told PopCrush Nights in a new interview. “But the thing is with the pandemic, it’s like on one hand, I would love to elope because my life is so public and I want to keep it sacred between me and him.”

She continued, “On the other hand, I want my friends and family to be there for a celebration, but I can't do that until the pandemic's over because it's not safe, so it's like, what do we? Do we [elope] in the meantime and then do [a big wedding ceremony] later? It's all this planning. But I have my image for what I would want it to be if I got to do a big celebration, and I don't want to give it away, but it's definitely not a white dress.”

Okay, elopement and no white dress—that definitely sounds like the Demi Lovato her fans know and love, doing things on her own terms.

Lovato and Ehrich were first rumored to be a couple in the early days of quarantine when she accidentally popped up on his Instagram Live. She says the lockdown situation “accelerated” their relationship

“I was set to have my comeback this year after being out of the spotlight for a while. And things didn't really go according to plan, but like I said, everything is about timing,” Lovato said, per People. “We were able to share this time together that we wouldn't have normally gotten to spend. And that accelerated our relationship on a level that you can't really explain to people, but quarantine either makes or breaks the deal. And it really made that. So I'm really blessed, really fortunate, and continuing to count my blessings every day.”
