Demi Lovato is definitely not letting her recent un-engagement get her down.

The 2020 People's Choice Awards host kicked off the show with a hilarious opening monologue all about the stuff that she's done during quarantine and she wasn't afraid to mention her previous engagement to Max Ehrich.

"Honestly, this year has been the longest three years of my life. Don't got me wrong, it started out amazing. I performed at the Grammys and sung the national anthem at the Super Bowl. But then, COVID hit and everything shut down. So, I did what everyone else did: I went into lockdown mode. And got engaged," she said. "Got into painting, photography, meditation, tested the limits of Postmates Unlimited."

"I also didn't know this could happen, but I reached the end of Instagram four times. I binged seven seasons of Pretty Little Liars," Demi continued. "Got unengaged and then I went looking for aliens in the desert, so basically the same as everyone else."

There's no better way to get back at your ex than showing them how great you're doing and Demi is definitely on top of the world right now.

Fans were surprised to hear Demi and Max call of their engagement earlier this year only a few months after their big announcement. Demi has been keeping busy ever since, thanks to a recent single release and her upcoming album. And now she can officially add People's Choice Awards host to her list!
