Demi Lovato and Her Fiancé Max Ehrich Made Out in Masks
Some celebrities have gotten heat for not wearing masks while out in California, where there's a mask mandate right now due to the state's surge in coronavirus cases. But Demi Lovato was an example to her peers yesterday: the singer was photographed out shopping with her new fiancé Max Ehrich at Beverly Hills' Versace and Persol boutiques. Both wore masks, and yes, they were very affectionate in the street. But they didn't let that need to express their love for each other in front of paparazzi override their greater civic (and legal) need to remain masked while out in a public space around other people. Instead, they showed what responsible PDA looks like for couples during coronavirus times: They kissed masked.
Lovato and Ehrich have been quarantining together for months. They made the decision to stay together during the pandemic just weeks into their relationship. Ehrich proposed to Lovato last week (coincidentally on her ex-friend Selena Gomez's birthday). They had only been dating for five months. But when you know, you know, so Lovato said yes.
They both announced the engagement with gushing Instagrams about the other.
Lovato wrote:
When I was a little girl, my birth dad always called me his “little partner” - something that might’ve sounded strange without his southern cowboy like accent. To me it made perfect sense. And today that word makes perfect sense again but today I’m officially going to be someone else’s partner.
