Even though just about every Hallmark Christmas movie is out here trying to convince us that the holidays are the time for ~lurve~, it looks like that’s not always the case! At least, not for Demi Lovato and her new boyfriend, model Austin Wilson, who just broke up.

And if you’re like, I’m sorry, who is Austin Wilson? that’s totally understandable, as the two only let us know about their relationship when they went social media official last month. However, things are now O-V-E-R. Demi just deleted photos of him from her Insta, he unfollowed her, and a source confirmed the split to People, saying, “She’s concentrating on herself and her work right now as well as focusing on her relationship with God. She’s excited for what this next chapter in 2020 will bring.”

And even though the social media dramatics seem to suggest that things might not have ended on the best note, it actually seems like the two are still on good terms. Demi herself messaged a fan about the split, saying, “💗 Please don’t go after him. He’s a good guy. Much better than what people see on the outside just because he’s got a lot of tattoos.” She also added, “Breakups are hard for both parties involved. Just stay nice and say prayers. 💕”

So mature! And I, for one, am going to try to manifest this positive, taking-the-high-road energy for 2020. I mean, it probably won’t work, but still!
