Demi Lovato Dip-Dyed Her Hair Neon Green

Demi Lovato has been posting some seriously inspiring images to Instagram lately, from creative makeup you can't help but want to copy to messages celebrating cellulite and unedited photos. And on Wednesday, she kept the beauty inspo coming with a hair (and nail) update posted to her Instagram Stories.

"Woke up sick yesterday. Can't do anything today. But my nails match my hair so that's cool," she wrote over a photo of her left hand. Her on-the-short-side nails featured an incredibly cool manicure: a nude base with neon green triangles making a curtain-like shape — and it's that neon green that Lovato was referring to when she said her nails match her hair.

In the next slide, we get a gorgeous selfie of Lovato in which we see that the last inch of her layered lob is also neon green with a hint of a warm transition shade between her dark brown lengths and dip-dyed ends. "In case some of you forgot" — or totally missed it, in our case — "Yes! Green hair," she wrote, followed by the haircut and green heart emojis.

This isn't the first time Lovato has gone green. No stranger to switching up her naturally dark-brown hair to vibrant colors, she had a bluish-green ombré on her short, asymmetrical undercut style in 2014, and in 2013, her long hair had a nearly all-over teal tint. In 2014, MTV even Photoshopped a picture of her to have a neon green color not unlike what she just went for, and other than the style, the imagining turned out to be quite an accurate premonition.

There's no telling how long Lovato will stick with this fluorescent new look, but we can definitely get behind neon as a fall hair trend, especially if it's a low-commitment dip-dye look.
